Lazar Debate & Papoose Lake Satellite Photos

Some reflections on the Lazar debate by a newcomer to the Internet.

Campbell and Mahood seem intelligent, level-headed, and sincere, but
it's disconcerting to see Huff and Lazar operating so far outside the
bounds of civilized discourse. I'm talking not only about the obvious
intimidation tactics and vicious ad hominem attacks (which I'll
shortly be experiencing first-hand), but also their coy disingenuity
around Lazar's increasingly dubious claims to master's degrees from
Cal Tech and MIT.

At the moment, the Lazar camp is carrying on as if Campbell somehow
struck an exquisitely sensitive nerve, just about the time he
published his "Theory #1."

On the other side of the coin, I read on the Lazar site (specifically
www.banzai-net.com/tridot/b.htm) that "in the summer of 1988, a Soviet
spy satellite took pictures of the Papoose Lake area. One of the
photos shows roads that lead into nearby hills where Lazar said the
discs were stored. Parked busses with blacked-out windows are shown
near the hanger area."

There is much Lazar material I still haven't read, butÖis this
generally known? It sounds like powerful evidence supporting Lazar.
Mahood in particular seems blissfully unaware of it as he skips along
about the Soviet photograph the Lazar camp has distributed -- also
snapped in the summer of 1988 -- showing, according to Mahood,
"absolutely nothing" around Papoose Lake (see
www.serve.com/mahood/papoose/pap-con.htm).

If the picture featuring the buses is already publicly available, I
think Lazar's detractors have some explaining to do. If not, it seems
to me the Lazar forces can turn the tide in an eyeblink by simply
scanning this photo into their website.
